Today was a beautiful day, so my sister and I headed out for some smoothies.
I wore a simple velour peplum top handed down from my mother (we’ll call it vintage),
the quarter length sleeve was perfect for the weather because there was still a bit of a breeze.

Also seen is one of the newest additions to my slow growing purse collection -
the Classic Q Karlie has been on my wish-list for a while now and lucky for me
was given as a graduation gift recently.

Inspired by fabulous summer outdoor music festivals such as Coachella,
I came up with this little light and summery ensemble.

With a trip to California nearing, colourful summer outfits are all the rage in the
outfit-planning part of my brain. Mental wardrobe notes are being made daily in preparation
for the very exciting trip I’m taking to San Francisco and Los Angeles!

I’ve been consciously trying to add bits of colour into my outfits these days to reflect
the coming spring/summer weather and this is as far as I got today.

The blouse is a relatively recent purchase and definitely one of my current favourites;
I’m absolutely in love with the tiny scalloped details that run along the buttons!
And speaking of tiny details, I’m also a huge fan of the subtle Burberry plaid piping on
the cardigan – it keeps everything simple and clean.
